-- ATROMITOS PUT TO THE SWORD BY KERKYRA --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 16
|Atromitos||1 - 4||Kerkyra|

Atromitos suffered their second successive home defeat on Wednesday after Kerkyra thumped the Peristeri club 4-1 in a chaotic and entertaining match which saw the hosts reduced to nine players.
A determined visiting side were well worth their goals which came from ex-Atromitos midfielder Denis Epstein, Viera Ellong, and Konstantinos Georgakopoulos, as well as a Nikos Lazaridis own goal, with a Sokratis Fytanidis consolation strike late on for the hosts failing to take the shine of a superb win.
Atromitos coach Giorgos Korakakis was left stunned after his team self-destructed, with Spyros Gougoudis (45) and Paul Keita (66) both seeing red for picking up two yellow cards.
Kerkyra’s three-point haul gives the islanders some vital breathing space in the lower reaches of the SuperLeaugue, moving them four points clear of Veria and Levadiakos, while Atromitos epitomize mid-table mediocrity this season in eighth spot.
