-- LEVADIAKOS AND ATROMITOS REMAIN WINLESS --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 17
|Levadiakos||1 - 1||Atromitos|
|Youssouf 73'||Le Tallec 10'|
Two teams who have endured a rotten run of results recently, finally managed to get some points on the board after an entertaining SuperLeague Matchday 17 contest ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Levadiakos, who had not taken a single point from their seven previous matches, had started well, pressing an out-of-form Atromitos side. But, typical of what has been a nightmare season so far, the hosts found themselves a goal behind in the 10th minute when French striker Anthony Le Tallec headed home a cross from Dimitris Limnios.
The goal was a sucker punch for Levadiakos, but in credit to Giannis Christopoulos’s struggling team, the hosts did not give up the fight and were almost level when Gary Coulibaly rattled the crossbar with an impressive long range strike.
An equalizer deservedly came for Levadiakos though in the 73rd minute when Mohamed Youssouf slotted home just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute to earn a precious point which still leaves them two points adrift of safety and second from bottom.
Atromitos, who last tasted victory against PAOK in an epic 4-3 win at the Toumba back in November, are ninth with 22 points.
