-- Papadopoulos PUNISHES His Parent Club --
Kyriakos Papadopoulos punished his parent club, Bayer Leverkusen, by scoring his first goal for Hamburg and leading his team to a 1-0 victory.
Kyriakos Papadopoulos recently joined Hamburg on a loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen, who currently own the player’s right. The two clubs faced off today in the German Bundesliga with Papadopoulos making his third appearance in Hamburg’s starting lineup.
With just under 15 minutes to play and the scores goalless, Papadopoulos punished his parent club by putting Hamburg ahead with a powerful, well-placed header which proved to be the winner in the end, as Hamburg recorded a much needed victory in their fight to avoid the drop.
