Goalless in Chania

-- Goalless in Chania --

Platanias 0 - 0 AEK

Platanias and AEK played to a goalless draw in their first leg clash in the Greek Cup quarterfinals.

In an overall poor game in Chania, Platanias and AEK finished goalless in their first of two matches for the Greek Cup quarterfinals. The result does, however, give AEK the advantage before the two teams battle it out in Athens at the OAKA Stadium in the second leg.

AEK’s best chance of the match fell to new signing, Sergio Araujo, while the hosts created great opportunities to walk away with the win. Fortunately for AEK, Anestis was up to the task and gave his side a sixth straight clean-sheet as the Kitronomavri have yet to give up a goal since Manolo Jimenez took over in mid January.
