Skibbe Eyeing Manthatis and Mystakidis

-- Skibbe Eyeing Manthatis and Mystakidis --

Georgios Manthatis of Olympiacos and Giannis Mystakidis of PAOK have caught the attention of Greek National Team coach Michael Skibbe. Dimitris Kolovos is likely to be called up for Greece's qualifier in March away to Belgium.

Olympiacos youngster, Georgios Manthatis, has recently made more appearances with Olympiacos having registered 7 showings in this year's Superleague (3 as a starter) and 3 in the Cup while scoring 2 goals. Skibbe not only looks at Manthatis as a very hot prospect for the future, but values his ability to play in both the left and right wing positions. The National Team currently lacks players on the wings as APOEL's Giannis Gianniotas is the only "true" winger on the National Team roster. Although it is not likely for Manthatis to be called up for Greece's qualifier against Belgium, the 19-year old’s call up could be coming sooner rather than later

Giannis Mystakidis' good showings with PAOK have not gone unnoticed by Greece coach Michael Skibbe. Skibbe recently stated that Mystakidis is on his radar and Greece's assistant coach, Kostas Tsanas, will be scouting out the PAOK player in tomorrow's Europa League clash between the Dikefalos tou Vora and Schalke.

In Belgium, Dimitris Kolovos continues to impress with his club Mechelen and according to sportfm.gr, could very well likely be the newest addition to the National Team for March's qualifier.
