Apollon Smyrnis and Lamia continue to lead the way in the Football League while Aris recorded their first win in three games, defeating Anagennisi Karditsas 3-0. OFI, Chania. and Trikala were also victorious while Kalloni and Panserraikos recorded big wins in their fight for safety.

Apollon Smyrnis’ tremendous run in the Greek Football League continued on Saturday as a late goal from Perogamvrakis gave the league leaders a 1-2 win on the road against Kallithea. The visitors opened the scoring in the 25th minute with Bartolini before Belis brought Kallithea level on 62 minutes. The win keeps Apollon Smyrnis first in the standings, tied with Lamia on 46 points as Kallithea remain near the bottom of the table with 19 points.

Two goals from Pavlidis led Aris to their first victory in three games in league play as the Kitrinomavri defeated Anagennisi Karditsas 3-0. Dounis opened the scoring for the hosts in the first minute of play before Pavlidis’ double. The Thessaloniki club trail both Lamia and Apollon Smyrnis by eight points in the fight for promotion while Karditsa remain just one point clear of the drop zone.

Lamia continued their home winning streak by defeating Aiginiakos 2-1. Two goals in the opening 30 minutes of play from Wanderson and Jokic gave Lamia the comfortable lead before Gaqollari pulled one back in the 68th minute for the visitors. The win keeps Lamia level with Apollon Smyrnis om 46 points atop the standings while Aiginiakos sit in the relegation zone with 12 points.

Manos scored in each half to give OFI an important three points against their island rivals Kissamikos. The 2-0 win pushed OFI up into fourth place with 33 points, but the Cretan side remain 13 points off of the pace for promotion. Kissamikos are 12th with 19 points. 

Trikala shocked Agrotikos Asteras with a 3-0 thumping at home as Mumin opened the scoring before Kouskounas added two more goals for the hosts. The win moves Trikala into 7th while Agrotikos Asteras fall to 5th.

In other action, Chania continued their good spell of form as they defeated Panegialios 1-0  with Varouhas’ 34th minute goal, giving all three points to the Cretans. Kalloni recorded their third win of the season by defeating Acharnaikos 2-1 as the Mytilene side now only sit one point away from safety in 15th place. Panserraikos came away with a win on the road against Panelefsiniakos with Routsis’ 89’ minute goal handing the hosts their 11 defeat of the season. 

Sparti were awarded all three points against Panthrakikos, sitting 6th in the league standings.
