Levadiakos Sunk By Late Goals In Agrinio
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 23
|Panetolikos||2 - 0||Levadiakos|
Levadiakos remain deep in the relegation battle after Panaitolikos scored two late goals to inflict another defeat on the SuperLeague strugglers in this Matchday 23 encounter.
After a spirited display which had seen them hold their more attack-minded hosts at bay for long spells (Namasco came up with big saves), goals from veteran Greek striker Dimitris Papadopoulos (76) and Serbian forward Marko Markovski (84) sealed the points for the home side.
The result saw the Kanarina put some significant breathing space between themselves and the relegation places as they are now 11 points clear of trouble.
In stark contrast, Levadiakos remain just two points above Iraklis who occupy the final relegation place, and the men from Thessaloniki can leapfrog Levadiakos if they win at Atromitos on Sunday.
