Olympiacos defeated Darussafaka 81-73 at the Peace and Friendship[s Stadium, mathematically securing their place in the Euroleague playoffs. The win keeps the Erythrolefki as clear favorites to gain home court advantage in the postseason.

Olympiacos recorded their 18th win in this year’s Euroleague season to clinch their place in the postseason playoffs. Despite Olympiacos cruising to a 21-point lead (60-39), the visitors fought back to pull within four points in the final quarter (71-67), taking advantage of Olympiacos’ complacency. However, it was the Olympiacos captain, Vassilis Spanoulis, who came up big once again with plays on both ends of the court helping his side hold onto victory.

Birch led the Erythrolefki in scoring with 13 points and 8 rebounds while Lojeski and Green finished the game with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Spanoulis scored 8 points while dishing 8 assists.

The win keeps Olympiacos 3rd in the Euroleague standings, one win behind CSKA and Real Madrid, as they inch closer to home court advantage for the Euroleague playoffs. The Greek champions hold a 4 game lead over the 5th placed teams with just 5 games left to play.
