Xronia Polla Mitroglou with ANOTHER Goal

One day after his 29th birthday, Kostas Mitroglou scored yet another goal for Benfica as his side went on to defeat Belenenses 4-0 in Monday’s Primeira Liga fixture.

Kostas Mitroglou found the back of the net once again for Benfica, scoring his side’s second goal in a 4-0 thumping of Belenenses in Monday’s Portuguese Primeira Liga fixture. Mitroglou, who celebrated his 29th birthday on Sunday, struck in the 54th minute with a perfectly placed shot in the top corner to score his 14th goal of the season in league play and 25th in all competitions. This ties last year’s total for Mitroglou with more than 2 months left to play in the season.

Andreas Samaris also played the full 90 minutes for Benfica as the Eagles sit first in the league standings, one point ahead of Porto, with nine games left to play. The two Portuguese giants will meet on April 2nd at the Da Luz Stadium in a match that could decide this year’s League champion.
