Lamia, Aris, and Agrotikos Asteras all won as they fight for promotion while Panelefsiniakos earned an important three points as they look to avoid the drop. More on today’s matches in the Football League below...

An emphatic first half from Aris gave them all three points against Panserraikos in Thessaloniki. The hosts scored three goals within 8 minutes (21st-29th minute) as Dounis scored twice (21, 29’) and Intzidis scored once. Milunovic added a fourth one minute from time (4-0) as Aris moved within 4 points of the leaders, with a game in hand. Panserraikos remain midtable, sitting in 8th place. Lamia inched closer to the top of the table with their big 3-0 win over Acharnaikos. Karagiannis opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Durmishaj (50’) and Vasilogiannis’ (63’) second half goals gave the hosts an easy victory. The result moves Lamia within two points of the leaders, Apollon Smyrnis (tied OFI), with Lamia having played one game less.

Agrotikos Asteras stayed on pace in the fight for promotion as they defeated Panthrakikos in Komotini. The only goal of the game was scored in the fourth minute through Gesios. The win keeps Agrotikos Asteras in fifth place with 19-points while Panthrakikos continue to struggle this season as they sit near the bottom of the table in 12th place.

In a battle between the bottom dwellers, Panelefsiniakos celebrated their first win of the season after defeating Kalloni 3-1. Angeloudis struck as early as the 2nd minute for the hosts before Evangelidakis equalized for Kalloni 10 minutes after the restart. Two goals within five minutes (71’, 76’) gave Panelefsiniakos the big win as they now move up to 6 points, tied with Kalloni at the bottom of the table.

It was a rollercoaster match in Chania as the hosts defeated Aiginiakos with two goals in the final 17 minutes of play. Chania took the lead in the 8th minute (Apostolopoulos) before Zourkos (22’) and Rangkelof (53’) put the visitors in front. However, Georgakopoulos brought the game level in the 73rd minute and three minutes later, Apostolopoulos scored his second on the night to give chania the 3-2 victory. The win pushes Chania out of the relegation zone, tied with Aiginiakos on 10-points. 

Sparti recorded their fifth straight draw in the league after finishing goalless with Panegialios. The Lakones had a great opportunity to walk away with the three points, however Strezos’ penalty was saved in the 61st minute. 

In Athens, Kallithea and Anagennisi Karditsa played to a 2-2 draw. The visitors took the lead on two occasions, but Kallithea was able to respond both times to salvage a point. The result will not satisfy either side as they both sit in the relegation zone.
