2019/2020 Super League schedule confirmed
This afternoon, the draw for the 2019/2020 Super League regular season was made, with PAOK, Olympiacos and AEK set to begin the campaign at home.
On matchday one, PAOK begin the defence of the title at home to Panetolikos, while AEK host Xanthi, Olympiacos welcome Asteras Tripolis to Piraeus and Panathinaikos travel to Lamia. Aris will play OFI at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.
In the 2019/2020 campaign, each club will play 26 matches in the Super League regular season, before playoffs and playouts subsequently decide the final standings. All points accumulated in the regular season will be transferred to the playoffs and playouts.
The maiden major derbies of the season will take place on either the 21st, 22nd or 23rd of September, with Panathinaikos hosting Olympiacos at the Olympic Stadium and PAOK playing city rivals Aris at the Toumba Stadium. A week later, reigning champions PAOK fly to Athens for a headline match against AEK, before the latter make the short trip to Piraeus to do battle with Olympiacos on October 26-28. Matchday 12 will see last year’s runner-ups, Olympiacos, play PAOK at the Karaiskakis Stadium in a much-anticipated affair.
