Olympiacos defeated AEK 78-67 at the Stadio Eirinis Kai Filias and remained the only undefeated side in this year's Greek Basket League.

In Piraeus, the two undefeated sides in this year's Greek Basket League, Olympiacos and AEK, met in the weekend’s derby. Olympiacos took control of the game early on as they went ahead by double digits in the first quarter. A 7-0 run in the second quarter brought AEK within three points, but Olympiacos re-took a commanding 9-point lead into halftime.

The game was put to bed in the 3rd quarter where Olympiacos ran away with the score and increased their lead to as many as 19-points. With the game decided, the fourth quarter was played at a slower pace where AEK cut into Olympiacos’ lead, but in the end were handed their first defeat of the season.

Lojeski was the leading scorer for Olympiacos with 17-points as Birch and Printezis each put up 12-points. Spanoulis came close to a double-double finishing the game with 10-point and 9-assists. For the visitors, both Ukic and Sakota scored 14-points. 

Olympiacos now sits atop the Basket League standings with 8 wins from 8 games as AEK moves to second with a 7-1 record.
