Apollon Pontou hand Apollon Larissa first defeat, 10-men Panachaiki draw in Crete

Apollon Larissas tasted their first defeat of the season in the Football League while Panachaiki and Platanias played to goalless draws away to AOX Kissamikos and Sparti, respectively. AE Karaiskakis recorded their second consecutive win after defeating struggling Aittitos Spaton.

Apollon Larissas’ nine match unbeaten run in the Football League came to an end on Sunday as the Thessaly club fell on the road to Apollon Pontou 1:0. Oloitan’s 24th minute goal separated the sides at the final whistle, which gives the hosts some breathing room from the relegation zone. The Thessaloniki club sit in tenth place with 11 points while second placed Apollon Larissas fall five points behind leaders Volos NFC.
10-men Panachaiki played to a goalless draw with AOX Kissamikos in Crete and fell further behind in the fight for promotion. The visitors were left with ten men early on when Coll was given two red cards within two minutes and was dismissed in the 18th minute. The result leaves Panachaiki 13-points behind the leaders while AOX Kissamikos are second from bottom with just six points from nine matches.
Platanias will be dissapointed with a goalless draw in Laconia away to Sparti. The result keeps the Cretan club nine points from the top of the standings while struggling Sparti will be happy to grab a point in their fight to avoid the drop.
AE Karaiskakis recorded their second consecutive win in the league, downing Aittitos Spaton 1:0. It was Masouras who found the game’s only goal in the 18th minute to leapfrog his team into sixth place with 13 points. Aittitos Spaton are having a tough time adapting to the Football League and are bottom of the table with just six points.
