Aris returned to winning ways after two consecutive draws in league play. The Thessalonikis thrashed Ergotelis 3:0 at the Kleanthis Vikelidis with a dominating second half performance, The opening 45 minutes lacked goals, however after the restart, Aris took charge and Platellas led the way with his 54th minute goal from the spot before, Kassos (76), and Chanti (90+4) secured the three points for the league leaders. Aris remain top of the standings with 53 points, two points ahead of second placed OFI and six points ahead of third placed Panachaiki. Ergotelis remain just one point clear of the drop zone with 23 points.

OFI are the team to beat in Greece’s second tier as they recorded their eight straight victory in the Football League. The Cretan side had no problem dispatching Trikala 3:0 in Irakleio and remained just two points behind the league leaders, Aris, and five points clear of third placed Panachaiki. The hosts wasted no time to get on the score sheet at Sergio gave OFI the early lead in the 5th minute. Vafeas starred for OFI in the second half and with two goals within six minutes (63, 69) gave his side the comfortable 3:0 victory.

Panachaiki kept up with the top two after coming away with a 1:2 victory on the road against AOX Kissamikos, a tricky stadium to travel to. Panachaiki’s in-form goal scorer, Moraitis gave his side the lead in the 23rd minute before Xydas equalized for the hosts in first half stoppage time. The winner would come 12 minutes into the second half with Fotakis finding the back of the net with a headed effort. The result keeps Panachaiki within five points of second placed OFI, who currently hold the second and final promotion ticket to next year’s SuperLeague.

In the fight to avoid the drop, Panserraikos recorded a big 2:1 victory over Apollon Larisas in Serres. Gourtas was the hero for the hosts who scored both goals in the 30th and 38th minutes before Mavrias tacked on a late consolation goal for Apollon Larisas. Like Panserraikos, Panegialios also grabbed three important points in the relegation fight, defeating Aiginiakos 2:1. Both teams remain in the relegation zone with Panegialios sitting on 20 points and Panserraikos on 19 points. Ergotelis currently occupy the final safety spot with 23 points.

In other action, Doxa Dramas jumped into fourth spot with a 2:0 win over relegation bound Kallithea. Apollon Pontou, who are also in a good spell of form, defeated Anagennisi Karditsas 0:2 on the road with the result dropping the Karditsa side into the relegation zone.
