Two goals inside the first 10 minutes ended the game quickly as a contest as the visitors made an electric start.

Nigerian forward Abiola Dauda set the ball rolling by opening the scoring after just five minutes with a composed header. Just four minutes later it was 2-0 when Egyptian midfielder Amr Warda pounced on a mistake by home defender Michalis Kyrgias.

Atromitos then shut up shop briliantly to keep a determined home side at arms length, with Giorgos Paraschos’ men unable to threaten the visitors goal at all. The icing on the cake for Atromitos came four minutes from full-time when Warda played in French forward Nicolas Diguiny to score.

And that was that, Atromitos cemented their grip on fourth spot and ensured they stayed within just two points of leaders Olympiacos. Apollon, meanwhile, remain third from bottom just one points from safety.
