‘Big Sofo’ in the hunt for All-Star Game nod

The Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association (HEBA/ESAKE) released the first results of voting for the 2018 Greek Basket League All-Star Game, and to the surprise of many, Sofolkis Schortsanitis is among the leading vote getters through the first round of voting.

The All-Star Game, which is set to be hosted at the Dimitris Tofalos Arena in Patras next month, will feature a squad made of Greek players going up against a team comprised of the best international all-stars.

The early results from the Greek side of the vote sees Panathinaikos dominate the starting spots, while Olympiacos are represented well in voting for starting positions for the Rest of World All Stars.

Fans are able to vote for their favourite players once a day, with voting scheduled to conclude at midnight on 2 February.
