After APOEL’s big win over Omonoia in Friday, the rest of the favourites continued with wins. Anorthosis and AEK continue to lead the race while AEL is following close by. Apollon and APOEL are seven and nine points behind the leading teams respectively, however they still have three games in hand including a derby between them. 

Apollon got an important win on the road against Alki Oroklinis. The visitors opened the score early in the game with Jander. Alki put up a fight and tied the game before half time with Fabricio. Schembri put Apollon back in the lead and two from Maglica formed the final 1-4 against a tough opponent. The Limassol side is now 4th, while Alki retreated in the 12th place. 

AEK Larnakas had no trouble to leave from Achna victorious against local side Ethnikos. Taulemesse with his eleventh of the season and Acoran send AEK with a two goal lead into halftime. Acoran added one more for the final 0-3, that brings the Larnakeis in the first place alongside with Anorthosis. Ethnikos still remains in the last place. 

Olympiakos hosted Aris in Nicosia in an important game for both teams. Olympiakos had the possesion, however they were not able to find the back of the net throwing away many chances. Aris almost escaped with the win, however Aurelio saw his penalty kick denied by Hindi moments before full time keeping the game to a goalless draw. 

Third placed AEL continued with a fourth consecuttive win, this time in Limassol over Salamina. Benitez gave the home side an early lead, but Salamina equalized with Grassi before halftime. Leandro with a penalty kick and Arruabarrena gave AEL a 3-1 win in the second half. 

Anorthosis bounced back and with 1-2 away win over Ermis continues to lead the race. Palanca’s goal in the 23rd minute put the league leaders in the front. Alex Konstantinou equalized for Ermis in the 57th minute. Fifteen minutes later Camara’s goal gave Anorthosis all three points and the their seventh win in twelve undefeated games. 

The pleasant surprise of this season Pafos FC, continued their series of good performances with a 1-0 home win over Doxa. Both teams had their chances but Pafos was slightly better than Doxa. The hosts managed to get the win with Deul’s goal deep into the game, bringing them to the 5th place, while Doxa is three points behind in the 8th place.
