President of the Promitheas Patras organisation, Christos Milas, commented on the draw result:

"Being in the EuroCup is already an amazing experience for us. The group is tough and we will try to our best to see where we stand and how our performance is. It is very important for the club and our fans to be in the EuroCup, as well as for our partners and sponsors. We will try to keep getting better and the EuroCup is the way that we should go."

The 24 participating clubs have been divided into four groups of six. The top four teams from each regular season group will advance to the Top 16, before four new groups of six games are formed. Those matches will be held between January 8, 2020 and March 4. Three best-of-three game playoffs phases follow: quarter-finals from March 17 to 25; semi-finals from March 31 to April 8; and the finals from April 21 to April 27.

Promitheas have been given a tough group. Bologna, the reigning Basketball Champions League winners, will be looking to advance, and Ulm, Andorra and AS Monaco have experience of playing against each other

Last season, Promitheas reached the knockout stage of the Basketball Champions League, before they historically qualified for the final of the Basket League in which they were subsequently swept by Panathinaikos.
