Five-star PAOK demolish Levadiakos
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 16
|PAOK||5 - 0||Levadiakos|
PAOK began 2018 in the best possible fashion with a rampant 5-0 home victory over Levadiakos at the Toumba on Saturday.
A brace apiece from Djalma Campos and Aleksandar Prijović, as well as a Leo Matos strike sealed a comprehensive three-point haul for Razvan Luscescu’s Salonica side, who clearly returned to action after the Christmas break hungry for success.
Brazilian defender Matos got the ball rolling with an 18th-minute opener, but there were no further goals in the first half as the battling visitors did their best to defy PAOK’s attacking onslaught in this one-sided matchday 16 clash.
It only seemed a matter of time before PAOK would add to the scoreline, and they duly did so through Angola forward Campos three minutes after half-time.
Serbia striker Prijović then made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, with 30-year-old Campos then netting his second of the game just two minutes later to make it 4-0.
Prijović rounded off the scoring with his second strike one minute before full-time as the home side completed a well-deserved and stylish victory.
