Giannis ready to lead the Bucks in NBA Playoffs
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks tip off in the first round of the NBA playoffs on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.
It has been another incredible season for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is not only the main contender for this year’s NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor, but has also led the Milwaukee Bucks to the best record in the NBA at 60:22. Giannis played in 72 games this season averaging a double-double with 27.7 PPG (3rd), 12.5 RPG (6th), 5.9 APG (21st), 1.5 BPG, and 33 MPG.
Most recently, the NBA superstar was named the Eastern Conference ‘Player of the month’ for a fourth time this season.
As the NBA’s overall number one seed, the Bucks will enjoy home court advantage throughout the NBA playoffs. They are the favorites to advance to their first NBA Finals since 1974 and will hope to win a second NBA title in franchise history, the first coming in 1971.
Their first barrier in the East are the eighth seeded Detroit Pistons. Game one of the best of seven series is scheduled for Sunday evening in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum. Tip-off at 7 PM EST (02:00 Athens time).
