After their 3-1 win in the first leg on Thursday, Olympiacos traveled to Russia to face Yenisei for the second leg knowing that a win or a 3-2 loss would send them to the final of this year’s CEV Challenge Cup.
The Greek side got off to a good start in the first set, however an 11-2 run from the hosts gave Yenisei a 1-0 advantage in the match (25-22). The second set was one to forget for Olympiacos as they easily fell 25-11. Olympiacos’ strongest performance came in the third set, however it was not enough as Yenisei went on to win the set 25-23 and the match 3-0.
