Greece crush France on day two

After a disappointing defeat in their opener, Greece’s women’s national volleyball team bounced back by beating France 3-0 at the European Championships.
The Greek team, led by Olga Strantzali, dominated the first set 25-12. In the second set, the Greeks trailed 2-5 but rallied back to win it 25-21 to go up 2-0 overall. France then led 18-20 in the third set, but the Greeks fought back to win it 25-21 and clinch a 3-0 sweep.
Greece will now face Finland tomorrow. They will then get the day off on Monday, before facing Bulgaria on Tuesday, and concluding group play on Wednesday against Serbia. It must be noted that the top four (out of six) teams in each group will advance to the knockout phase of the tournament.
