Preparations for the the upcoming UEFA Nations League and EURO 2020 qualifiers are underway at the Hellenic Football Federation as the Greek national team will host Switzerland in an international friendly on March 23rd. The match will be held at the Toumba stadium in Thessaloniki as the Ethniki begin their post Karaiskaki era. The exact kick-off time will be announced at a later time.

The friendly will be Greece’s first match of 2018 against one of the world’s best side, who currently sit 8th in the FIFA World Rankings. The Swiss will use this friendly in their preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup after dispatching Northern Ireland in the European playoffs in November.

The EPO could very well schedule a second friendly encounter during the international break in March, however nothing has been officially by the federation.
