After suffering three consecutive defeats, Iraklis celebrated victory on Saturday as they defeated AOX Kissamikos 0:1. Perrone scored the winning goal in the 57th minute with a free-kick, which was poorly judged by the host’s goalkeeper. The win gives Iraklis breathing room from the relegation zone, with 13 points from 11 games and four points clear of the drop zone.
Panachaiki’s seven game winless streak came to an end after defeating Trikala 2:1 in Patra. Eleftheriadis’ spot kick gave the hosts the lead late in the first half before Symelidis equalized midway through the second half. However, Loumbardeas proved to be the hero for Panachaiki as he struck eight minutes from time to give his side the three points. The win moves Panachaiki up to sixth on 15 points while Trikala sit one point clear of the relegation zone with 10 points.
Second-placed Apollon Larissas kept up the pace in the fight for promotion as they took down Ergotelis 1:2 in Crete. The visitors opened the scoring through Tasioulis in the sixth minute and Lucao doubled the Thessaly side’s lead in the 68th minute. Efford pulled one back for Ergotelis in the 73rd minute, but it was not enough as Apollon Larissa moved up to 23 points, five points behind Volos NFC, who have a game in hand. Ergotelis are fourth with 17 points, eleven points behind the leaders.
