Johansson signs with Panathinaikos
Mattias Johansson is the newest addition to Panathinaikos after signing a 3-year contract with the club.
Mattias Johansson, who arrived in Greece earlier this week, successfully completed his medical tests and put pen to paper on a 3-year deal with Panathinaikos. The club officially announced the signing on Saturday.
The 25-year old right back began his career in Sweden with Kalmar before signing with Dutch AZ Alkmaar in 2012. Since then, he has played with Alkmaar registering 176 appearances, 6 goals, and 11 assists. In addition, he has much experience playing on the European stage having made 36 appearances with one goal and one assist.
Johansson has played with of all of Sweden’s national teams registering 28 caps with the youth teams and 3 caps with the Men’s team.
