Katsikaris becomes first Greek coach to work in NBA
Fotis Katsikaris will become the first Greek coach to work in the NBA after reports indicate he will be signing a deal with the Utah Jazz.

According to Eurohoops, the former national team coach will sign a three year contract with the NBA’s Utah Jazz and will serve as an assistant coach to Quin Snyder. Katsikaris will be the first Greek coach to work in the NBA full time after previously being a member of the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers in Summer League tournaments.
The 51-year old recently left his post with Spain's’ Tenerife after leading his side to the playoffs of the Spanish ACB League, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual champions, Real Madrid. He has also coached various teams in Russia, Spain, Greece, and Israel. In 2013, he was named the EuroCup Coach of the Year after leading Bilbao to the competition’s Final.
Katsikaris coached the Greek national team in the 2014 World Cup (9th), 2015 EuroBasket (5th), and 2016 Olympic Games Qualifiers, where Greece failed to qualify for the 2016 games in Brazil.
