Kerkyra defeated Platanias 1:0 at home while struggling Sparti began 2019 on the right foot with a 3:0 thrashing of Irodotos. The remaining two games were postponed due to heavy snowfall in Greece.

In the battle between last year’s Super League’s sides, Kerkyra came out victorious with a slender 1:0 scoreline over Platanias. Thuram’s 45th minute header from Linardos’ cross separated the sides at the final whistle. The Brazilian’s fifth goal of the campaign helped Kerkyra to their sixth win of the season as the Faikes jumped into third in the standings ahead of Platanias, eight points behind the leaders Volos NFC.
Struggling Sparti started 2019 on the right foot with a fantastic display and 3:0 victory over Irodotos. The hosts opened the scoring in the 38th minute through Kenourgios before Vlachomitros doubled Sparti’s lead ten minutes after the restart. Kenourgios netted his second goal of the match in the 80th minute to secure all three points for Sparti, who moved out of the relegation zone with 11 points. Irodotos sit one point ahead of Sparti with 12 points.
The matches between Aiginiakos/Volos NFC and Apollon Pontou/Aittitos Spaton were postponed due to heavy snowfall in the areas.
