Kicker reports deal between Olympiacos and Leverkusen for Retsos
German site Kicker reported that Bayer Leverkusen have offered Olympiacos €15 million for Panagiotis Retsos and that his transfer will be finalized after the games with Rijeka.
According to the German site “Kicker,” only the final details remain for the transfer of Panagiotis Retsos to Bayer Leverkusen. The newspaper reported that Leverkusen have offered the Erythrolefki €15 million for the Greek defender and Olympiacos will retain a 20% re-sell clause. The Greek champions are likely to respond positively to the offer and will complete the deal after Olympiacos play both games against Rijeka in Champions League qualifying.
However, nothing has been confirmed or reported by either club. According to sportfm.gr, Olympiacos are expected to offer Retsos a new contract with higher annual earnings and put a larger buy-out clause in his contract. Retsos has drawn the interest of many European clubs this summer, but Olympiacos have denied multiple offers for the young defender.
