Leganes Hope to Keep Siovas
Leganes have been more that satisfied with Dimitris Siovas’ appearances this season and hope to keep the Olympiacos player at the club next season.
With the season in Spain coming to an end, Leganes are extremely close to achieving their goal of safety in the Spanish la Liga. In the remaining two fixtures, the team from Madrid need only one point to ensure mathematically safety from the drop.
Dimitris Siovas, who is on loan at Leganes from Olympiacos since December, has played a major role in the team’s fight to avoid the drop. The 28-year old has made 14 starting XI appearances for the club and has scored 1 goal, while quickly become a fan favorite in Madrid.
If Leganes’ safety is ensured, Leganes will likely activate Siovas’ buy out clause of €4 million seeing that Olympiacos’ asking price is considered reasonable. Moreover, Siovas himself has expressed his will to stay in Madrid.
However, Siovas’ impressive performances have attracted the interest from other teams in Spain and he could be a real acquisition target for many clubs this summer.
