Panelefsiniakos recorded a big 1-0 win over in-form Trikala to keep their survival hopes alive. Stamatakis’ 62nd minute goal gave the team from Elefsina all three points, a result that moved the club into 15th place of the standings. They now trail 14th placed Acharnaikos (hold the final safety spot) by only 5 points with four games remaining.

On the other hand, Kallithea dropped below Panelefsiniakos in the standings to 16th after a 1-0 defeat in Crete against Kissamikos. Kike’s 59th minute goal separated the sides at the final whistle. Kallithea are now 8 points behind Acharnaikos and will need a miracle to avoid the drop in the final four games of the season.

Aiginiakos earned a valuable point at home against Panegialios in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw. The result leaves Aiginiakos in 13th place of the standings, six points clear of the relegation zone.

In other action, Agrotikos Asteras thrashed Anagennisi Karditsas 3-0 while Panserraikos were awarded all three points against Sparti, who did not travel to Serres to play. The Lakonia side are facing major financial problems and despite their current place in the standings (7th), could be facing more trouble in the near future. For Sparti’s “no show” they will be deducted points from this year’s standings.

Finally Acharnaikos were awarded a much needed 3-points against Panthrakikos, who removed themselves from the league earlier in the season.
