Magical debut for Bouchalakis...Two Golares with Forest
Andreas Bouchalakis had a magical debut with his new club, Nottingham Forest, scoring two beauties within six minutes to help his team to a 3-4 victory over Brentford in the English Championship.
Andreas Bouchalakis was the man of the hour in Nottingham Forest’s English Championship road fixture against Brentford on Saturday. The Greek midfielder made his debut in league play with his new club after signing with Nottingham Forest this summer from Olympiacos.
Bouchalakis scored his first goal with the club after 41 minutes of play finding the back of the net with a powerful right-footed volley from just outside the penalty area. The goal brought Forest level, 1-1, just before halftime. However, the 24-year old was not done there and two minutes after the restart, Bouchalakis netted a second with a perfectly placed effort in the top corner to give his side a 1-3 lead.
Nottingham Forest went on to win the match with a 3-4 scoreline to move up to six points in league play after two games. Bouchalakis’ teammate, Apostolos Vellios, was left out of the roster for Saturday’s match and does not seem to be in the coach's plans for the new season.
