Mak returning to PAOK
Robert Mak will be returning to PAOK for the upcoming season after playing last year in Russia with Zenit. The Slovakian is en route to Holland to join the rest of the team for pre-season training.
PAOK fans will have the joy of seeing one of the club’s fan favorites in recent years, Robert Mak, back in Thessaloniki. The Slovakian striker will be returning to the Dikefalos tou Vora for the upcoming season on what looks to be a loan deal from Zenit (there is a possibility Mak’s move is permanent). He is currently en route for Holland to join PAOK’s preseason training.
Earlier today, Zenit’s athletic director, Konstantin Sarsania, announced that the two clubs have come to an agreement for Robert Mak as the player wished to return to PAOK. The 26-year old’s manager also mentioned that it was a done deal with official announcements by both clubs expected by the end of the week. Finally, PAOK president Ivan Savvides confirmed the reports talking with sport-express.ru saying “Yes, Mak is returning to PAOK.”
And if there were any doubts...Mak confirmed everything on Instagram posting a picture in a plane with a caption “On the way too…” followed by a black and white dot.
Robert Mak will join the rest of the team in Holland for pre-season training and the deal is expected to be officially announced in the coming days, bringing Mak back to Toumba after departing last season for the Russian side.
