Manolas: “I will surely stay at Roma”
In a recent statement, Kostas Manolas stated that he will surely remain at Roma for the new season.
Kostas Manolas has been a hot target this summer amongst Europe's top club including Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Zenit, PSG, and most recently Juventus. However, after negotiations broke down with Zenit, both Roma’s management and coach have stated that Manolas will remain at the club for the new season.
The 26-year old defender confirmed these reports in a recent statement with Corriere dello Sport after Roma’ friendly with Juventus stating “I am staying here for sure. I am not sure what will happen with my contract and I cannot say anything in regards to that. However, I am staying at Roma.”
The Greek defender has a contract with Roma until 2019 with annual earnings of €1.8 million, with Roma expected to offer Manolas a contract renewal with annual earnings of over €2.5 million.
