Manolas to extend contract with Roma
Kostas Manolas is set to sign a contract extension with Roma and will include a €37 million buy-out clause.
Over the summer, Kostas Manolas was close to a move to Zenit Saint Petersburg before negotiations broke down at the final moment between the two sides. Manolas decided to stay with Roma for the new year and is now ready to sign a contract extension with the Giallorossi. Reports out of Italy state that Manolas has already agreed to terms with the club on his new deal.
His new deal will see his pay increase from €2.8 to €3.5 million (with bonuses) a year and will include a buy-out clause of €37 million for any non-Italian team interested in buying the Greek defender. Manolas has caught the eye of many top class European clubs over the last couple of years (Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG) and any club looking to acquire the 26-year old, will have to dig deep in their pockets to cover Roma’s asking price.
