Anorthosis returned to the top of the table alongside AEK, after escaping from Limassol with the three points over local side Aris. The visitors were bombarding their opponents, however a stubborn defensive performance and the inability to find the target kept the scoring line to 0-0 until the 80th minute. That moment Joao Victor’s header gave Anorthosis the much awaited goal and then Andre Alves formed the final 0-2 in the game’s final moments. AEK’s draw with Ermis gave Anorthosis the chance to catch them in the 1st place, while Aris is just three points above last placed Ethnikos.

Omonoia was unable to find the win again at Ivailo Petev’s first game as the coach. The prasinoi stayed to a 2-2 away draw against last place Ethnikos. The hosts opened the scoring with a tremendous free kick by Pinceli in the 11th minute. Rafa Lopez equalised in the 30th minute, then two crazy minutes followed as Enescu put Ethnikos in front again and Christofi balanced the game for the prasinoi just three minutes after Lopez’s goal. Omonoia pushed for the winner in the second half, however Derbyshire saw his penalty kick hit the post in their biggest chance of the night. Omonoia is still three points away from the first six, with Ethnikos getting an important point in the fight to avoid relegation.

APOEL came from behind to record a 2-1 home win over Salamina in GSP Stadium. Having the possesion but unable to penetrate Salamina’s defence, APOEL conceded first a goal from Brigido in the 58th minute. Salamina gave space to the hosts and tried to keep their lead but APOEL’s siege brought results. Zahid took his weapon and first he caused Damahou’s own goal in the 71st minute, then scoring the winner in the 88th minute. APOEL is now 6 points behind the 1st place but with still two games in hand, Salamina lost a big chance to escape from Nicosia with points and they are remaining in the relegation zone just a point behind 11th placed Olympiakos.

Apollon continued their winning streak with an emphatic performance and a 5-0 home win over Olympiakos. Yuste opened the score two minutes into the game, with Papoulis and Zelaya sending Apollon with a three goal lead into halftime. Zelaya again and an own goal from Konstantinou formed the final score. Apollon is now five points behind the leading teams but with three games in hand, Olympiakos is just a point clear of the relegation zone.

Doxa and AEL stayed in a goalless draw after controlling a half each. Doxa was the better side in the first half however their superiority was not turned into a goal. AEL woke up in the second half, had good chances however Silva sent his penalty kick over Doxa’s goalpost with the game ending 0-0. AEL retreated in the 5th place while Doxa is still 6th five points behind.

Ermis managed to keep AEK to a 1-1 draw and escape with a point from AEK Arena. AEK started the game, but Trickovski’s penalty kick was denied by Arampatzis in the 10th minute. That moment in the game froze the action for the rest of the half, however a minute before halftime Acoran opened the score for the home side. Ermis equalised in the 65th minute with Imerekov and despite AEK’s efforts the score did not change till the end. AEK has Anorthosis again as a roommate in the 1st place, while Ermis is three points clear of the relegation zone.

Alki made the comeback and recorded an important 2-1 home win over Pafos. The visitors scored first with Sikorski in the 22nd minute, with the home side equalising in the 39th minute with Fabricio. Fabricio again in the 72nd minute gave the win to Alki with his eleventh goal of the season. Pafos is still in the 7th place and Alki is 9th just to points behind.
