Mavroeidis returns to AEK BC

AEK BC confirmed that Dimitris Mavroeidis has returned to the Athenian club after one year at Kolossos Rodou.

On Friday, AEK released this following statement:

“Dimitris Mavroeidis (34 years, 210 centimeters), signed a two-year (1+1) contract with the Vasilissa.”

During the 2018/2019 season, Mavroeidis competed in 25 Basket League matches with Kolossos Rodou, averaging 11.12 points, 7.40 rebounds and 1.28 assists per game.

In the past, the tall center has played for the likes of Peristeri, Panionios, Marousi, Bilbao and Olympiacos. Between 2015 and 2018, Mavroeidis won two trophies as an AEK player, claiming the Greek Cup and the Basketball Champions League. The 34-year-old also won the 2013 EuroLeague with Olympiacos.

“I really wanted to return to AEK,” revealed Mavroeidis. “We enjoyed a lot of success together. The AEK family is my family. I have returned to AEK to work hard. We want to be first in every competition.”
