Over the weekend, OFI made it nine straight wins in the Greek Football League by defeating Kallithea 1:3 on the road. The hosts managed to shock OFI from the kickoff as Syriopoulos opened the scoring for Kallithea with a headed effort from a corner. However six minutes later, OFI’s star striker, Dimitris Manos, equalized with a brilliant finish from the top of the penalty area. Dinas completed the comeback late in the first half by putting OFI ahead in the 42nd minute and the same player scored an insurance goal with eight minutes remaining in the match, to give OFI a 1:3 road win.

The result sends OFI top of the Football League standings with 54 points (tied with Aris) as Aris and Panachaiki played to a 1:1 draw on Sunday. OFI increased their lead to seven points over third placed Panachaiki and along with Aris, are the favorites to gain promotion to next year’s SuperLeague. Kallithea sit bottom of the table with 15 points and are bound for relegation to the Third Division.

Doxa Dramas and Apollon Pontou, who have both been in great form recently, celebrated wins on Sunday by defeating Ergotelis 0:1 and Aiginiakos 2:0, respectively. The results leave both Ergotelis and Aiginiakos just one point clear of the drop zone as they sit tied on 23 points.

Anagennisi Karditsas fell 4:1 on the road to Apollon Larissas and remain in the relegation zone while Karaiskakis blew out Panserraikos 3:0 at home. Panserraikos are currently in the drop zone with the Karditsa side and are joined by Panegialios, who fell on the road to Trikala 1:0.

AOX Kissamikos and Sparti where awarded victories over Veria and Acharnaikos, who have both withdrawn from the league.
