Olympiacos BC sign two-year contract with Kuzminskas
Olympiacos BC have sealed a two-year contract with Mindaugas Kuzminskas after the Lithuanian forward departed fellow EuroLeague club Armani Milano.
On Monday, Olympiacos released this following statement:
“Olympiacos BC announces the arrival of Mindaugas Kuzminskas. The Lithuanian forward has signed a two-year contract.”
Eurohoops subsequently reported that there is an opt-out clause which can be used by either party in the summer of 2020.
During the 2018/2019 season, Kuzminskas competed with Armani Milano in the EuroLeague, tallying an average of 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in the competition. In the past, the 29-year-old has played in 69 matches for the New York Knicks, while having also represented Unicaja Malaga and Zalgiris Kaunas.
MILUTINOV TO STAY
This summer, there have been plenty of rumours surrounding the future of commanding Olympiacos center Nikola Milutinov, but it has now been confirmed that the 24-year-old Serbian will remain in Piraeus for the time being.
According to reports, the San Antonio Spurs informed Olympiacos that they aren’t planning to sign Milutinov this year, so he will continue playing his basketball with the Erythrolefki. CSKA Moscow had been interested in Milutinov until they signed Kosta Koufos.
