Olympiacos letter to ABA League released by Serbian press
The Serbian press released an official Olympiacos letter to the ABA League regarding the club’s desire to join the league.
As previously reported on AGONAsport, Olympiacos are in advanced talks with the ABA League about a possible move over from the Greek Basket League. Last month, the Erythrolefki met with officials of the ABA league to discuss various details about a possible transition while the Reds also met with various clubs from the Adriatic League.
With the situation in the Basket League continuing to worsen as the days go on, Olympiacos’ move to the Balkan league becomes more of reality.
In a letter dated on May 5th, Olympiacos reached out to the 12 clubs in the ABA League and asked for their vote to allow the Greek giants to join the league. Olympiacos went on to mention that the brand name they carry will help increase the league’s brand name and prestige.
A General Assembly will be held on May 24th with the ABA League’s shareholders set to vote in favor or against Olympiacos’ move to the league.
