Olympiacos Ready for Their 10th Final-4
The Euroleague Final-4 is set to take center stage this weekend in Konstantinoupoli with Olympiacos ready to make noise once again.
On Friday, Olympiacos will play in their 10th Final-4 in club history and will face CSKA Moscow in the semi-finals of the competition. Although the Russian giants are the clear favorites to defeat the Greek Champions, the Erythrolefki are no amateurs in the element of surprise, especially against CSKA Moscow.
The two teams have a rich history against each other and have played to arguably the most exciting Euroleague final in history, when Olympiacos staged an unbelievable comeback in the fourth quarter to go on to win the 2012 title over CSKA.
It was a similar story at the Final-4 in 2015 when Spanoulis led yet another Olympiacos comeback against CSKA Moscow as the Erythrolefki stunned their opponents once again to march on to the final (lost to Real Madrid).
This season, Olympiacos advanced to their fourth Final-4 in nine years and will look to conquer the European championship for the first time since 2013 and fourth time in club history. The first and arguably the toughest test will be on Friday against the favored CSKA Moscow.
AGONAsport will provide a LIVE STREAM for Olympiacos’ match against CSKA Moscow and if the Erythrolefki advance, a LIVE STREAM for the Final on Sunday. Details here.
