Olympiacos sent a strong message to Andolu Efes in today’s Game 1 for the Euroleague Playoffs, defeating the Turkish club 87-72 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

A very good display from Olympiacos in Game 1 of the Euroleague Playoff series gave them a rather easy 1-0 lead in the series. The Erythrolefki took an early double-digit lead which they kept for the remainder of the game. 

Despite Efes coming back from an 18-point deficit to pull within 10-points in the fourth quarter, Olympiacos kept their composure and ran away with the result to win the game 87-72.

The hosts had a great day from behind the arc, going 10/23, while grabbing 41 rebounds, 14 of them on offensive rebounds. Mantazrtis led Olympiacos in scoring with 14 points while putting on a great display on the defensive end. Green scored 13 points for the Erythrolefki as Printezis finished with a double-double, 11 points and 11 rebounds. 

Game 2 will be held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Friday at 2:00 PM EST.
