As expected, El Kaddouri made his move to PAOK official on Thursday after signing a 4-year contract with the club. The midfielder joins the Thessalonikis on a transfer move from Italian side, Empoli.

In his first season at Napoli, El Kaddouri made 14 appearances, half of which were in the Europa League, but his wish for more playing time led to a loan deal with Torino. He remained in Turin for 2 season making 76 appearances and scoring 9 goals.

His return to Napoli was short lasted as he transferred to Empoli in a €1.2 million deal. Following Empoli’s relegation at the end of last season, El Kaddouri expressed his will to leave the club and seek a new challenge in his career by joining PAOK. .

The 27-year old midfielder is an active member of Morocco’s national team and sinee 2013, has made 29 appearances for his country with five goals to his name.

Former fan favorite, Adelino Vieirinha, has been a consistent name in PAOK’s transfer gossip this summer and his return to Thessaloniki could become a reality by the end of the month. The Portuguese player has lowered his demands and the only obstacle that stands in the way of his return to PAOK, is Wolfsburg’s asking price of €1.2 million to release the player. PAOK are willing to wait until the end of August for Wolfsburg to lower their price, however in any other case, PAOK will look to sign the player in January (his contract expires in June 2018).
