A 23-8 run in the third quarter saw PAOK beat Aris 63-57 at the PAOK Sports Arena on Sunday night.
Lucky Jones struck for 20 points and Owen Klassen had 9 rebounds as PAOK picked up just their second win of the Greek Basket League season.
After a tough loss in the FIBA Basketball Champions League midweek, PAOK rebounded well to edge their local rivals. After a tight first half with the score tied after both the first and second quarters, PAOK surged to a 15-point lead in a dominant frame.
Aris did make a push for a comeback with Giannis Athinaiou leading the way with 20 points himself, but Panagiotis Giannakis’ men hopes of a shock comeback would fall short despite an 18-9 run in the final frame.
Both sides return to European action midweek with PAOK travelling to  face Neptunas Klaipeda in Lithuania, while Aris remain at home to host Sidigas Avellino.
