Papadopoulos continues career at Hamburg
Kyriakos Papadopoulos will continue his career with Hamburg after signing a 3-year deal with the club.
Kyriakos Papadopoulos has made a permanent move to Hamburg after a very successful loan spell at the club from Bayer Leverkusen. The Greek defender signed a 3-year deal with Hamburg with the transfer fee rumored to be €6.5 million and possibly €10 million with bonuses.
Papadopoulos helped Hamburg avoid the drop to the German second division, leading his side to a great run in the second half of the season. The 25-year old began the season on loan at Leipzig, but various injuries kept him off the pitch (made four appearances). He moved to Hamburg in January on another loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen where he rejuvenated his career and will hope to begin where he left off last season.
