PAS Giannina held by 10-man Larissa
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 26
|PAS Giannina||0 - 0||Larissa|
PAS Giannina missed the chance to give themselves some breathing space above the relegation zone on Saturday as they were held to a scoreless home draw by 10-man Larissa at the Zosimades stadium, while Asteras Tripolis and Lamia also drew 0-0 in an uneventful encounter.
Giannis Petrakis PAS team had the better of the game and came closest to scoring in the first half when Dušan Pantelić hit the left post with a shot.
PAS were given an added incentive to commit more men forward in the last quarter of the match after Larissa were reduced to 10 men when Slovenian forward Marko Nunic saw red for a picking up a second yellow card, but the home side failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage.
Since beating Panathinaikos 1-0 at Zosimades on Matchday 20, PAS have lost twice and drawn three times, form which has them hovering dangerously above the drop zone. PAS are now four points clear of OFI Crete who occupy the second relegation spot and face a nervous run in until the end of the season.
Larissa are four points better off up in 11th place.

Stalemate in Tripolis
|Asteras Tripolis||0 - 0||Lamia|
There were also no goals in Tripolis as Asteras and Lamia played out a 0-0 stalemate at the Theodoros Kolokotronis stadium.
Chances were at a premium in an instantly forgettable match which was very low on quality and incidents of interest, with two teams stranded in mid-table mediocrity unfortunately living up to their billing.
Makis Chavos’ Lamia side did not have to work hard to earn the point they wanted and stay unbeaten for the fourth game in a row, while Georgios Paraschos’ Tripolis team will have to do better in their last five matches to avoid being dragged into the relegation dogfight.
The result means Lamia move up to eighth with 30 points, while Tripolis are 10th on 27 points, but are just eight points above the relegation places.
