Stoiximan.gr pledges support for Greek athletes
With preparation for the 2020 Olympics in full swing, Stoiximan.gr announced that they will sponsor many Greek athletes and teams to help them achieve their goals on the “Road to Tokyo.”
This is not the first time that the popular betting website has offered support to Greek athletes, as they also did so for the 2016 Olympics. This time around, the athletes named to the “Stoiximan Tokyo Team” include 2016 Olympic gold medalists Anna Korakaki (shooting), Eleftherios Petrounias (gymnastics), and Ekaterini Stefanidi (pole vault), all of whom were supported by Stoiximan.gr prior to winning gold medals in 2016.
Korakaki, the 2016 Olympic gold and bronze medalist in shooting, was full of praise when asked about Stoiximan.gr. “For a long time now, Stoiximan has supported all of us and myself personally. They supported me well before the Rio Olympics. They were my first sponsor, who believed in me, and that is very important, that they support not only the established athletes, but also the rising ones as well,” said Korakaki.
Petrounias, the “Lord of the Rings,” also expressed his gratitude to Stoiximan.gr for their continuous support. “Stoiximan is first and foremost an ally, and then a sponsor. That has to be the role of a sponsor,” said Petrounias.
Lastly, Stefanidi gave her thoughts on this team. “From the beginning, we felt that we were a part of one big family,” said Stefanidi. She also added that she believes Stoiximan.gr is a good luck charm, as their athletes won three Olympic gold medals in Rio. Additionally, she thanked them for supporting various sports and not just football.
Also named to the team were Maria Belibasaki (track), Eleni Chatziliadou (karate), Kristian Gkolomeev (swimming), Vasileia Karachaliou (sailing), Emmanouil Karalis (pole vault), Anneta Kyridou (rowing), Maria Kyridou (rowing), Vasiliki Panetsidou (karate), Georgios Pilidis (wrestling), Evgenia Sarri (taekwondo), Miltiadis Tentoglou (long jump), Leonidas Tsortanidis (sailing), Georgios Tzanos (karate), Christos Volikakis (cycling). Additionally, Stoiximan.gr will also be sponsoring the men’s and women’s national water polo teams.
