YOUTH NATIONAL TEAMS (U17): The under 17 Greek national team received a damaging blow at the 2019 UEFA European Championship, dropping a heavy 0:3 defeat to Belgium in the second match of the group stage.
GREEK NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM: For the first time in 17 years, Greece managed to salvage a positive result after trailing by two goals, and if we only take official games into account, it was the maiden occasion in the past 45 years when the Ethniki Omada were 0:2 down and didn’t lose.
CYPRIOT SOCCER: The draw for the groups in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers took place today in Dublin, with Cyprus drawn into Group I with Belgium, Russia, Scotland, Kazakhstan and San Marino.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): Belgium defeated England on Saturday 2-0 to finished third in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. That is the highest a Belgian side has ever finished in the competition bettering the team’s placing in 1986, when they managed fourth position. Thomas Meunier and Eden Hazard scored for Belgium as they finished off a fantastic tournament. England meanwhile finish with another defeat, however they will return home to a positive reaction from the public after matching their second best effort in World Cup history with their fourth placed showing.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): France and Croatia meet on Sunday to decide the winner of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The two sides came through close semi-finals to book their tickets to the final in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium. France defeated Belgium on Tuesday 1-0 thanks to a Samuel Umtiti goal while Croatia came from behind to win against England 2-1 in extra-time.

WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): France and Belgium won their quarter-finals on Friday to set up a semi-final clash on Tuesday in Saint Petersburg. France began the day with a 2-0 victory over Uruguay. The win puts France into the semis for the first time since 2006. Belgium meanwhile were able to overcome a series of disappointing tournaments in recent years by coming out on top over Brazil 2-1.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): Brazil and Belgium won their Round of 16 encounters on Monday in order to set-up a match between the two teams in the quarter-finals. Goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino saw Brazil defeat Mexico 2-0. Belgium were down by two goals in the second half to Japan, however the Red Devils avoided the shock by scoring three times in the last twenty minutes to secure a massive come-from-behind victory.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): Senegal exited the 2018 World Cup in a way no other side ever has in Day 15 action. The African side, 1-0 losers to Colombia in their Group Stage finale, lost out on progression to the last 16 to Japan due an inferior ‘fair play’ record. In a World Cup first, Senegal went out due to the fact that they had amassed six yellow cards in the Group H play compared to four for Japan. Elsewhere, Japan lost to Poland 1-0, but scraped through to the Round of 16. In Group G, Belgium defeated England for top spot in the group, while Tunisia picked up three points with a 2-1 over Panama.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): The favorites finally prevailed on Day 5 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. After several days of minor upsets and a couple big shocks by unfancied sides, Monday’s matches went as predicted. Sweden were able to slip past South Korea 1-0 in Group F play. In Group G, Belgium and England, the two heavyweights in the section, both picked up wins. Belgium dispatching Panama by a 3-0 scoreline, while England left it very late before coming out on top over Tunisia 2-1.
WORLD SOCCER (FIFA WORLD CUP): An unbelievable Toni Kroos’ goal late on was the difference as Germany stumbled past Sweden 2-1. Elsewhere, Belgium easily dispatched Tunisia 5-2, while Mexico defeated South Korea 2-1 in Day 10 action of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
