Volos NFC restored their six point lead atop the Football League standings after an easy 1:4 outing away to Aiginiakos. The visitors were well in control of the match as three first half goals from Dedakis (16), Dimopoulos (30), and Iliopoulos (34) put them ahead 0:3. Aiginiakos scored early in the second half through Papadopoulos (52), however the result was never in doubt as Volos NFC added a fourth from the penalty spot with Fragou in the 67th minute.

Aittits Spaton chalked up a surprising result on Wednesday as they dispatched Apollon Pontou 0:1 in Thessaloniki. Lyras’ 57th minute goal separated the sides at the final whistle and gave the visitors an important three points in their fight to avoid the drop. They now sit in 14th with 13 points, just two points away from safety.

Third placed Apollon Larissas took a heavy blow to their promotion efforts as they gave up their slender 0:1 lead away to Trikala in stoppage time. Goudroubis’ 79th minute minutes goal was canceled out by Kapo’s effort in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time as the teams played to a 1:1 draw. The result sees Apollon Larissas sit nine points behind leaders Volos NFC while Trikala sit in the relegation zone with 13 points.
