Wernbloom included in PAOK squad for UEL playoffs

PAOK have announced the list of players eligible to compete against Slovan Bratislava in the qualification playoffs of the 2019/2020 UEFA Europa League.

Swedish midfielder Pontus Wernbloom, who has recovered after a long-term injury, is back in the squad and is the only major change to the PAOK roster in comparison to the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against Ajax. PAOK conceded a 4:5 aggregate defeat over the course of the two matches in that competition.

The winner of the PAOK - Slovan Bratislava pair will qualify for the group stages of the Europa League.

Here is the list of players eligible to compete in the 2019/2020 UEFA Europa League playoffs:

LIST A

Goalkeepers: Alexandros Paschalakis, Zivko Zivkovic, Nikos Melissas.

Defenders: Fernando Varela, Jose Angel Crespo, Enea Mihaj, Sverrir Ingi Ingason, Dimitris Giannoulis, Leo Matos, Rodrigo.

Midfielders: Anderson Esiti, Josip Misic, Douglas Augusto, Omar El Kaddouri, Ergys Kace, Diego Biseswar, Dimitris Pelkas, Miroslav Stoch, Lazaros Lamprou, Pontus Wernbloom.

Forwards: Dimitris Limnios, Leo Jaba, Antonis Gaitanidis, Karol Swiderski, Chuba Akpom.

LIST B

Goalkeepers: Christos Talichmanidis, Konstantinos Balomenos.

Defenders: Aventis Aventisian, Giannis Michalidis, Angelos Moutzouris.

Midfielders: Thomas Karamperis, Giannis Konstantelias, Achileas Salamouras, Theocharis Tsiggaras, Christos Voutsas.

Forwards: Giorgos Doumtisis, Theodoros Pournaras.

HENRIQUE JOINS KAYSERISPOR

Last week, it had also been confirmed that Pedro Henrique left PAOK for Kayserispor of the Turkish Super Lig.

Kayserispor paid PAOK 650 thousand euros to sign Henrique on a permanent basis.

Henrique spent two years on PAOK’s books after joining in January 2017. The 29-year-old Brazilian forward, scorer of the winning goal in the 2017 Greek Cup final against AEK, spent spells on loan at Qarabag and FC Astana from PAOK.
