Iraklis and Platanias shared the spoils in a thrilling 2:2 draw while Volos NFC continued their good form with a win over Aittitos Spaton. Panachaiki earned an important three points over promotion rivals, Kerkyra, as third placed Apollon Larissas played to a fourth consecutive league draw.

Volos NFC continued their good form after downing struggling Aittitos Spaton 3:1. Penta opened the scoring on ten minutes and the visitors pulled level immediately through Tampakis one minute later. Iliopoulos re-gave Volos NFC the lead in the 25th minute before Garcia’s 70th minute goal sealed the three points for the league leaders. The result moves Volos NFC up to 38 points, eight ahead of second placed Kerkyra while Aittitos Spaton sit second from last with just 13 points from 15 matches.

Kerkyra’s hope for automatic promotion took a heavy blow as they fell in Patra to Panachaiki 1:0. Eleftheriadis’ 55th minute goal separated the sides at the final whistle with Kerkyra slumping to an eight point deficit behind league leaders Volos NFC. Panachaiki, who were promotion hopefuls at the beginning of the season, climbed into fifth with 24 points, just five behind second placed Kerkyra.

Iraklis and Platanias shared the spoils after a thrilling 2:2 draw in Thessaloniki on Saturday. Vitlis opened the scoring early on in the second minute in what was a fantastic start for the hosts. Iraklis controlled the pace of the game and maintained their lead through halftime in a rather uneventful first half. Platanias found an equalizer in the 62nd minute, however Perone re-gave Iraklis the lead in the 70th minute. Things got worse for the visitors after Tsamouris was handed a straight red card four minutes later, but the Cretans managed to pull level in the fourth minute of second half stoppage through Miguel, his second goal of the game. The result keeps Iraklis middle of the table in eighth with 21 points, while Platanias are fourth and 14 points behind the league leaders, Volos NFC.

Two goals late in the second half saw Ergotelis dispatch Doxa Dramas 2:0 in Crete. Rovithis opened the scoring in the 73rd minute and Efford put the game out of reach in second half stoppage time with his insurance marker. Ergotelis sit in sixth with 23 points as they jumped ahead of now seventh placed Doxa Dramas, who have 22 points.

In other action, AOX Kissamikos’ good form of late continued as they took down Apollon Pontou 1:0 in Crete. Apollon Larissas played to their fourth consecutive draw after a 1:1 scoreline at home to Irodotos. Apollon remain in third place with 27 points, 11 points behind Volos and two points behind second placed Kerkyra. Sparti got a much needed boost with a narrow 1:0 win over 10-man Aiginiakos while Trikala and AE Karaiskakis played to a goalless draw.
